MsSQLGirl 4th year anniversary is coming up on July 1. I remember thinking back then “What am I going to write?”, “Who’s going to read this?” and “What’s the purpose?”. Throughout this time, it has become more and more apparent that one thing that I treasure the most from being @MsSQLGirl and writing my blog, is the community. I learn so much through my network, from the technical aspect all the way to family and friendship. Thank you #SQLFamily! Fast forward 4 years, here I am writing my blog post from Redmond, Washington, USA.
Yes, I’ve relocated to US .. again. If there’s anything important I’ve learned about my (personal and professional) journey, is that there’s a time for everything. There’s a time to learn, a time to grow and a time to take risks. One of my favourite blog posts that resonates with this theme is by Tom Roush (t | b) – a dear friend of mine: it’s called The Second Tuesday of August. It’s worth reading, trust me.
Once you’ve read it …
My Gravenstines time has arrived in a Blue Badge form.
I’m happy to announce that I now work at Microsoft as a Senior Program Manager in the Data Platform Group. It’s my fourth week here and it’s nothing but doing what I love, to learn, to grow and to take risks with my #SQLFamily.
Proudly handing back my MVP badge.. Till next time,
Julie
